NCIS season 22 will come to an end in early May (and here’s what to expect)

Finale season is upon us, and the NCIS season 22 finale date has been set by CBS.

“Foreign Bodies” – As Vance prepares to host diplomatic talks with Venezuela, the team is called in to investigate the dead body of one of his inside men, on the CBS Original series NCIS, Monday, Oct. 21 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and streaming on Paramount+ (live and on-demand for Paramount+ with SHOWTIME subscribers, or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after the episode airs)*. We’re at the time of year again when our favorite TV shows come to an end. CBS has a mixture of finales in April and May, and we know that NCIS season 22’s finalewill air in the middle of everything else on the network.

The finale is a little earlier than we would usually see it. This is certainly a sign of how the TV schedules are changing. In a way, it’s a good thing as it means fewer breaks in the season purely to stretch out the episodes that are available.

When will the NCIS season 22 finale air on CBS?

Get Monday, May 5 in your diary. The NCIS season 22 finale will follow the one-hour The Neighborhood finale. However, there is some bad news for those who are sticking around for the last hour of the night. NCIS: Origins will have wrapped its first season a week earlier.

I’m curious about the decision to stagger the finale dates like this. Usually, CBS will try to bring all shows on one night to an end at the same time. This works best for the viewership of all shows, but there are a few nights that are seeing these staggered endings.

What to expect in the NCIS season 22 finale

The Nexus cartel is going to be a problem for the team in the finale, which means Parker comes across his longtime nemesis, Carla Marino. She is the boss of the mob, and it turns out that there is a plot that involves some nuclear material that’s been stolen.

Parker will need to form an uneasy alliance, likely with Carla. I do wonder if this is going to link to the Lily storyline. Right now, we know that Lily is someone from Parker’s past, but not in a way that would initially connect to him seeing her. Is it possible that Carla is Lily?

NCIS airs on Mondays at 9/8c on CBS. Catch up the following day on Paramount+.
