My daughter forbade me from even touching the food in their fridge even though I spent all day caring for her child

😲😲My daughter forbade me from even touching the food in their fridge, even though I spent all day caring for her child: that’s when I decided to teach her a real lesson she would never forget.

😵When my daughter had a son, I was overjoyed. But that joy quickly turned into worry: she had a demanding job that required her constant presence, and she couldn’t take a proper maternity leave.

I couldn’t leave the baby without care — I gladly agreed to help. Every day at eight in the morning, I would come to her house and stay with the baby until evening.

I bathed him, fed him, rocked him to sleep, did the laundry, the ironing board became my best friend, and daily walks — a ritual.

Everything went on as usual until one day everything changed.

That day, tired after a long walk, I decided to have a snack. I opened the fridge, took some cheese and an apple. But then I heard something unexpected from my daughter:

— Don’t you dare take food from the fridge. All of that was bought with our money.

I was stunned.

— But I’m here all day, every day… Am I supposed to starve?
— Buy your own food and bring it with you. We’re not a cafeteria, — she replied coldly and went to her room.

At that moment I realized that my daughter had grown up selfish and didn’t appreciate my help at all. So I decided to teach her a real lesson she would never forget. I hope I did the right thing…

I described my thoughts and feelings in the article below the photo — I’d be grateful for your opinions 👇👇

It was then, holding the apple in my hand, that I suddenly realized clearly: I had raised someone so full of indifference and selfishness. Where did I go wrong?

I gave her all my strength, all my feelings, I was always by her side, supported her, helped her — and in return, I received coldness and a total lack of gratitude.

The next day, I didn’t go. At eight in the morning, I called her myself:

— Darling, you’ll have to find someone else to look after the baby. I’m not coming anymore. I’m too old to feel like a stranger in a house where warmth and love once lived.

She was stunned. She screamed, tried to blame me — but I had decided that I would no longer allow myself to be treated as a convenient solution.

I still love my grandson with all my heart. But I will no longer allow myself to be treated like a maid.
I’m a mother. I’m a grandmother. And I deserve respect.
