In what\u2019s being called a modern-day miracle, a Kentucky mother says her unborn baby was touched by the \u201chand of God\u201d \u2013 and she has the ultrasound to prove it.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In April 2022, Amanda Foster, now 33, shared an image of an ultrasound with her friends on Facebook<\/a>, announcing that her unborn son<\/a> Jay had \u201chealthy kidneys, no cysts and perfect blood flow to and from.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added that the boy was \u201cPotter syndrome free,\u201d which according to the Cleveland Clinic<\/a> is a \u201crare condition that affects the growth and function of a baby\u2019s kidneys and other internal organs. This condition is life-threatening for the baby and many infants have a short life expectancy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018More common in males\u2019<\/h2>\n

For Foster, her fears of Potter syndrome started at 17, when she tragically lost her first child to at just 20 weeks.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy thought at that time was, \u2018Well, if God is going to take my son<\/a>, He will take me too!\u201d Foster shared in a Facebook<\/a> post, explaining her grief over losing her first son, Xavier. \u201cIt didn\u2019t work out that way, and I developed a deep resentment and anger toward God. If that wasn\u2019t enough, I was later told it was very unlikely I would ever have a healthy baby boy since Potter syndrome is more common in males.\u201d<\/p>\n

Foster and her husband Kyle later welcomed two healthy daughters, and then the couple had their first son, baby Jay in August 2022.<\/p>\n
