Kate Middleton<\/span>\u00a0stunned in a full-length golden gown as she attended a state banquet for\u00a0Donald Trump<\/span>\u00a0and his wife Melania on Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n

The US president and First Lady are currently in the UK undertaking a state visit, and the occasion was marked in style as they joined King Charles, 76, Queen Camilla, 77,\u00a0Prince William<\/span>, and Kate, both 43, at the Windsor Castle event.<\/p>\n

Kate looked dazzling, sporting a Phillipa Lepley silk crepe gown underneath a\u00a0hand-embroidered gold Chantilly lace evening coat.\u00a0She also donned\u00a0the late Queen Elizabeth II\u2019s and the King\u2019s Royal Family Order and\u00a0a blue sash, representing that she is a Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.<\/p>\n

Notably, she also wore the famous\u00a0Lover\u2019s Knot tiara, which was\u00a0once owned by\u00a0Princess Diana and was kept in a safe at Buckingham Palace after her 1997 death before it was handed to Kate.<\/p>\n

The headpiece \u2013 which Diana said was so heavy it gave her headaches \u2013\u00a0was made by Royal jewellers Garrard in 1914 to Queen Mary\u2019s personal design, from pearls and diamonds already in her family\u2019s possession.<\/p>\n

Prince William\u2019s wife wore her newly bronde tresses loose, letting them fall in soft waves underneath her tiara. She accessorised her look with a pair of drop earrings.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, William sported the Windsor Uniform \u2013 a dark navy blazer with red collar and cuffs \u2013 with with a white shirt, black trousers and\u00a0the blue sash and star of the Order of the Garter, as well as another star denoting his position as a Knight of the Order of the Thistle, and a third representing that he is a Great Master of the Order of the Bath. He also wore four medals \u2013 one each from the late\u00a0Queen Elizabeth II\u2019s Golden, Diamond and Platinum Jubilees, and the King\u2019s coronation medal.<\/p>\n
