Along the way, he met the love of his life, and together they created a wonderful family.<\/p>\n<div id=\"newsner-dc661b55f2121e4d3bb4243c1a5a118b\" class=\"newsner-dc661b55f2121e4d3bb4243c1a5a118b newsner-incide_content_once\"><\/div>\n<p>In 1991, following a proposal at the Palace Hotel restaurant in Gstaad, Switzerland the year before, John Travolta married Kelly Preston.<\/p>\n<p>The couple tied the knot on September 5, 1991, in a secret ceremony at the Hotel de Crillon in Paris.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly was born on October 13, 1962 in Honolulu, Hawaii, and like John, she worked in the film industry. The most important thing you can do to help another when they are in mourning is to allow them to live it and not complicate it with yours. That\u2019s my experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Travolta is no stranger to grief. In 2009, he suffered an even more tragic death in the family: Jett, his oldest child with Preston, died of a seizure at the age of 16.<\/p>\n<p>Jett was autistic and suffered from Kawasaki disease, and was prone to seizures. The ad gave Travolta a chance to bust out some of his famous dance moves, and have some fun with his family.<\/p>\n<p>For Ella Bleu, losing her mother was heartwrenching, as it would be for everyone. The 10,000-square-foot property\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.insider.com\/john-travolta-selling-maine-home-bought-with-kelly-preston-2021-3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">went on the market<\/a>\u00a0in 2021 for $5 million. It was built in 1903, and the remarkable home includes 20 bedrooms, a beach and open ocean access, and an in-ground pool.<\/p>\n<p>But apparently, \u00a0the price tag proved to be too pricey but it\u2019s clear that Travolta wants to let go of their vacation home.
