Prior to forming Varner Wakefield in 2015, he worked as a banker for several years and was later the vice president of corporate business development and strategy at Lykes Bros Inc., according to his\u00a0LinkedIn\u00a0page.<\/p>\n

Wakefield obtained a bachelor\u2019s degree in English from the College of Charleston in 1994, and an international business degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in 1998.<\/p>\n

At the time, the firm founder stood beside Bondi and held the Bible she was swearing her oath on as Supreme Court Justice\u00a0Clarence Thomas\u00a0guided the ceremony. President\u00a0Donald Trump\u00a0even mentioned Wakefield during a brief address after Bondi\u2019s swearing-in, calling him her \u201cvery handsome husband.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI just want to introduce her very, very handsome husband. I hate being around him. He looks too good,\u201d the president said. \u201cHe\u2019s been a tremendous factor with Pam and just a beautiful relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Trump referred to Wakefield as Bondi\u2019s husband, neither member of the couple have confirmed if they are married.<\/p>\n
